My parents let me do whatever I want. I always had good grades, and now currently in law school.
They learned early that I hated being told what to do. If they ever tried to order me around, I would always do the opposite. But if you just trusted me, and had confidence, I excelled.
Everyone is different, and grows a different way. You can't raise a tree the same way you would a fish, nor can you throw a cat in the sea and expect it to swim. Though I do believe planting the seed of confidence at an early age for a child is important. Everything else will come along. |
